We had such a special time celebrating Scarlett’s 8th birthday and First Holy Communion on the same day! Such a special day for our girl. We had lots to celebrate and this weekend wore us down for sure! So worth it to make her day special. Last year we were on lockdown this time of year. We felt nervous to even do a car drive by party… that even felt weird. Such a difference from a year ago. We are so glad we got to celebrate her double time! Easter weekend we had a small family gathering that included a crawfish boil at my parents house in Louisiana. So glad so many of our family members are vaccinated so we could get together again! Saturday we ventured to Nashville to do a visit to the American Girl store, something we were going to do last year. So glad we got to go! She blew through her gift cards, birthday money, and tooth fairy savings that’s for sure! She’s been saving for what seems like a year for this trip, so she really enjoyed herself! We were so glad to spoil her!
Sunday was her First Holy Communion and actual birthday, so what a busy day we had! Started the day with French toast made by Joel, then a trip to Blo Homewood to get a fresh wash and curl for her Communion. She received her communion and did so well. We are so proud of her!
Cake is by Scarlett’s friends mom, the talented Farah of Sweet Home Sweets! Linked some other party details below!
Thank you Celebrate Birmingham for the beautiful number balloon they placed outside our home all weekend! Made celebrating Scarlett even more special! Our sweet neighbors shouted happy birthday to Scarlett every time in passing! Love so many things she offers! You guys have got to check out her page and see all they offer!
