Little Brother’s Nursery Board Inspiration

January 25, 2019

Recently, I’ve been sharing lots of sneaks on instagram of the baby’s nursery and so I am excited I finally have some of the bigger pieces in place now so that I can share the inspiration board with y’all. With this being our third, we have lots of recycled decor and baby items that we have been able to use in his little nursery! It is so special that every child of ours will sleep in the same crib. We knew we wanted the crib to be our family heirloom piece that hopefully we can pass on. I discussed this over instastories one night, but the baby’s room is a previous storage closet that is attached to our bedroom. We live in a 3/2, but we have lots of bonus spaces we just didn’t know what to do with when we moved in almost 3 years ago. This tiny baby stage is so short so we decided to put the baby in this space since it would be so convenient to our room and each child still would have their same individual room. I imagine in a short time the boys will share a room, but we are so glad to not have to rock any of the older kids spaces for right now. That being said, it’s a tiny space. Very doable space, but small. Perfect for a tiny baby! Joel did a lot of ripping up carpet, patching walls, and re painting to get it ready. All in a days work he got it done! It is coming along, but we still have several items to order and set up for it to be complete. I think just knowing in the back of my head he won’t even need this space full time for another 3-4 months has allowed us to take our time and do things at a slower pace.

For his room I wanted something classic and timeless- like most of my home decor. I knew I wanted a velvet crib skirt, velvet accent pillow, simple monogrammed crib bedding, bunny decor touches, a fun rug, and a new ceiling light. I found those items first and then just pulled everything together from there.

Below I’ve listed all the items I’ve either bought or are on our list to buy in the near future for the baby’s room. Currently we have all the major items like the crib, dresser, chair, etc. I’ve linked a few similar items since we are ‘recycling’ the crib, chair, and lamp. I put a * next to the items we bought for reference. I can’t wait to do a full reveal in a few months when the room is complete! My mom will also be making most of his crib bedding so that is why I do not have his bedding linked. Leave me a message in the comments if you have any other questions 🙂

Bratt Decor Crib (older model, linked similar)* | Rug * (sizes are limited & I’m still looking for more sources on this one) | Dresser *| Mirror | Changing Basket * | Bunny Rabbit Lamp | Chair | Acrylic Shelving *| Bunny Rabbit Mobile *| Ceiling Light | Garden Stool *

I’m excited to hear y’all’s thoughts on little brother’s nursery inspiration board! And, I can’t wait to share more sneaks on instagram as we continue to make progress 🙂 Happy Friday friends!

    How is the chair? Comfortable?

Hey Caroline! We actually are using a chair we already have from our son’s room- I just linked one that was very similar for those looking for a close match. I did however make sure to link one with excellent reviews and a good reputation. The one i linked has over 500 positive reviews, so I feel confident telling you it’s a good one to consider 🙂 Seems like many love it! And if we didn’t already have one, I’d be buying this one for sure. It’s a beautiful chair with lots of customized options.
