This past weekend we celebrated our daughter Scarlett’s third birthday back in Louisiana in my hometown! It is always so exciting for us to do her birthdays back home because she gets to visit with her cousins and we get to see our dear friends who have children too! My parents hosted the most adorable barnyard bash for our sweet girl! They had a petting zoo, hayride (not pictured), and a princess inflatable (that’s a long story ha- it wasn’t planned)! She had so much fun! The second the petting zoo pulled in with their horse trailer Scarlett starting flailing her arms and yelling, “the animals are here! the animals are here!” It was too cute! She loved the rabbits and ponies the most. She even walked one of the pony’s into my parents garage and tried to keep him, it was hilarious! The cake we had was a 5 layer homemade Berry Chantilly- a re make of the delicious whole foods version! There was not a crumb left, y’all! My mother in law made the layers and icing and I decorated it. It was really fun and so worth the time to do it. I think it was just as big of a hit as some of the activities. I’ll get that recipe up soon 😉 Another party favorite for the kids was the “scoop your own feed” area where the kids filled up a tin pail of snacks and treats to snack on during the party. They had so much fun doing this and it made for an adorable side center piece. Another decor favorite of mine was the wheel barrel drink holder, this came out really cute and it was very convenient for guests and children to grab waters and juice! I love how it turned out.
Ever since I was pregnant and found out our baby was a girl, I knew I wanted to have a barn themed birthday for her. I am a HUGE animal lover and this party theme has been on my mind for 3 years now. I had so many ideas up my sleeve that I couldn’t wait to see it all come together. Every other year we have gone real simple for her birthday, but this year I wanted it to be “the big birthday” celebration. Three is a big deal and we really wanted to put our craft hands at work. My mom is the ultimate party planner and developer so I could not have done any of this without her. She was the one up late tape table cloths and cutting material, flowers, and banners. I hope I live up to her potential one day 🙂 I hope you enjoyed this little party reveal, especially if you have a barnyard theme party up your sleeve. This one was SO fun! A good time was had by all!  I wrote all of our party and outfit details below for anyone interested!
