Looking for an easy and short ingredient list chicken parmesan recipe that is healthy? This recipe has become a staple in our house. At only 251 calories, it is nice to be able to indulge in a meal that is so tasty! I love the short ingredient list and I usually already have all of these items in my pantry making it even easier!
4 8oz Boneless/Skinless Chicken Breasts
3/4 Seasoned Breadcrumbs (whole wheat)
1/4 Cup of Parmesan Cheese
2 Tsbp of melted butter (or olive oil)
3/4 Reduced Fat Mozzarella Cheese
1 Cup of Marinara
Preheat oven to 450° and spray baking sheet
Half the chicken breast into cutlets
Combine Breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese into a mixing bowl
If using butter, melt it.
With a basting brush, drizzle butter onto breasts and dip cutlet into the mixture, then add to baking sheet.
Bake for 20 minutes
Add marinara sauce on top of chicken breasts then drizzle the mozzarella on top.
Bake for another 5 minutes or when cheese is melted.
