Healthy Baked Chicken Parmesan

Looking for an easy and short ingredient list chicken parmesan recipe that is healthy? This recipe has become a staple in our house. At only 251 calories, it is nice to be able to indulge in a meal that is so tasty! I love the short ingredient list and I usually already have all of these items in my pantry making it even easier!

Ingreients

4 8oz  Boneless/Skinless Chicken Breasts
3/4 Seasoned Breadcrumbs (whole wheat)
1/4 Cup of Parmesan Cheese
2 Tsbp of melted butter (or olive oil)
3/4 Reduced Fat Mozzarella  Cheese
1 Cup of Marinara
Cooking Spray

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 450° and spray baking sheet
  • Half the chicken breast into cutlets
  • Combine Breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese into a mixing bowl
  • If using butter, melt it.
  • With a basting brush, drizzle butter onto breasts and dip cutlet into the mixture, then add to baking sheet.
  • Bake for 20 minutes
  • Add marinara sauce on top of chicken breasts then drizzle the mozzarella on top.
  • Bake for another 5 minutes or when cheese is melted.
