Each year I try my best to get updated family photos taken of us. It’s HARD. I 100% won’t lie to you that this takes up time, money, and a lot of effort. I knew coordinating 3 children and 2 adults would prove new challenges this year, so I started my search early. Adding the newest family member to our crew this year gave me the push I needed to get this together. I am eager to get photos of the older kids with their new sibling. It’s such a tender and sweet time to capture and I am here for all of it! These photos will go on the walls of our home, printed for holiday cards, given as gifts in frames, and of course shared to social media. I am typically all about blue hues, but this year I am really driven to botanical colors. Like earthy green, dusty pink, and cream. I spent a lot of time adding, removing, adding, and removing pieces of clothing + accessories from my mood board. It truly helped though. Several friends were asked to vote and offered ideas which I couldn’t be more grateful for. I am always drawn to how the royals dress their children, classic and timeless.

Being a photographer myself, I understand how clothing can really shape a photo and help achieve a certain aesthetic. It’s not everyone first worry to have coordinating outfits, and I get that. I love what I came up with for everyone to wear and couldn’t wait to share with y’all. One of my biggest questions each year is to share ideas for holiday photos. Looking forward to sharing more, but here is our outfit board in the meantime 🙂 We take our photos next week and I am just so excited!
