How special and wonderful that we were able to baptize sweet Sheppard on Mother’s Day, May 12, 2019. We are so thankful for all the love and excitement all of you have shared with us around his arrival. He was baptized at Our Lady of The Lake Church in Mandeville, Louisiana. Joel and I both have such a special history with this church and it means so much to us. Long before we even knew one another, Joel and I were both baptized in this church. We grew up an hour away from one another and didn’t meet til last year of high school, but Joel lived in my hometown of Mandeville for 2 years before moving to Baton Rouge. I went to elementary and middle school at Our Lady of The Lake as well. When joel and I got engaged, he proposed just 3 blocks away from OLL. We just sort of figured we would get married there with all of our history, and so we did! Fast forward 6 years later and we have continued the tradition of having ALL THREE of our babies baptized at Our Lady of The Lake. Sitting on those front steps is so sentimental and sweet for our family. What a special day for our family. We are so thrilled to share some sweet moments from our special day.

On Saturday we had a Sip N See for Shep and were overwhelmed by all the love for our sweet boy. Shep met so many of his special family and friends. Coming home to Louisiana is always so special, but this time we were bringing our newest member of the family home to meet all the special people in our lives. My parents throw quite a party, so his Sip N See was an all day affair with lots of yummy Cajun fare and drinks! I hope one day I can be as good of a party hostess as they are! We are so lucky to go home to so many loving people who love us from afar.
