Truly, I never thought I’d see the day where I got to visit Magnolia Market in Waco, Tx. It always seemed like an out of reach trip I’d have to dream about for another 5 or so years when my kids were older and I could fly out for a weekend trip. I always hoped to take a girls trip out there with my Mom and hope to still do that one day! She would love it. This visit was so spur of the moment, and I’m so grateful that my sweet friend Lauren was up for the day trip out to Waco! We took two babies under 1 on an hour and a half road trip out to experience the hype of Magnolia Market. The babies did so good! We were so impressed and glad it was such an easy day! We lucked out and had the most perfect weather for the day. This was such a doable day trip from Austin, Tx if you are trying to make a trip there while visiting the Austin area.
We walked around the garden first and picked up some fun goodies at the Seed & Supply shop! This was my favorite attraction at the Silos. The shop got me so excited for spring and gardening in our own backyard. Everything is just so picturesque and perfectly done. I expected nothing less of Joanna Gaines. I was swooning over all the details. It was in the Seed & Supply shop I picked up We Are The Gardeners, A bath bomb, Green House candle, and some seeds! The garden area had tulips planted in rows that were so pretty they did not look real. Tulips are one of my favorite flowers to date! Joel knows to always scoop me up a bundle each season when they are in peak. I was in awe of how perfectly maintained the tulip garden was.
We picked up lunch from the Famous Little Hamburger food truck and it truly was one of the best hamburgers I’ve had! Not ashamed to say I got a double stack! We also made sure to submit an order at the Magnolia Bakery so that we’d have a sweet treat for when we finished lunch. The line was wrapped around the building, but it moved pretty quickly, and we were at the front in under 20 minutes. We strategically placed an order so we could sample each others sweets. Lauren got the Lavender cupcake and I got the carrot cake cupcake with a cinnamon roll. Once we got to the front and smelled the aromas inside the bakery, I feel like I just wanted to add 5 more things to my order. I love that Magnolia gives a discount to all service men and women who currently serve or who have served, you just need an I.D. We saw two military men go through and submit a big order and joked that we needed to follow them where they were going!
Another favorite spot was the flower booth set up right as you walk into Magnolia. All florals were 25% off, and it was hard to walk away from creating a cute bouquet. So, I took some photos instead. The flowers are so beautiful, I thought they were real. I think they are still 25% off online though, so head there if you want to take advantage of the sale! The play area in front of the Silos is so fun! I wish my big kids were there with me to enjoy it- they would have loved running around on the turf, playing ball, corn hole, and bouncing in the bean bags! The Gaines family did an amazing job making it so family friendly. Though, I didn’t expect anything less. The water refill stations were so wonderful and strategically placed throughout the grounds, so bring your water bottles if you’re planning a visit when it’s extra warm.
Had a cute little photo session by the Tulip flower boxes! How could I resist? This was just one of the many spots around Magnolia that was filled with Tulips. Everywhere you looked there were tulips- they were perfectly in bloom for our visit!
Until next time, Magnolia! We had a great time! I’m so glad our visit to the Silos was during it’s peak of spring season! Everything was in bloom and the grounds were so bright and colorful. Ps, our official #MilesToMagnolia distance was 680! And we did actually drive all 680 of those miles. I explained instastories that we canceled our flights to Austin because of flu season and Shep wouldn’t have his 2 month vaccinations yet, so we drove instead. Broken up into 2 trips (5 hours then 7 hours) and it really wasn’t too bad. Shep did so great!
Okay, on to what I picked up!
1. The very first thing I scooped up was The Gaines family new book, We Are The Gardeners , currently on sale for $11.99 and I paid $20 at Magnolia! Hurry and grab it at that great price because the book is so sweet and very well done.
