One New Year’s resolution I have made is to have pre-made healthy snack options for my family and more available. It is so easy to grab that pre-packaged snack when we are in a hurry or someone needs a quick hunger craving fix. At first, it seems like a lot to prepare a healthy snack. Preparation can feel overwhelming with getting all the items prepped, cleaned, washed, etc., but I have found that once I get a system down it is actually very easy and ends up being so worth it! Everyone in our household LOVES yogurt. We go through yogurt at such a fast rate in our home, which is a wonderful thing since it’s a healthy option for all of us! Our go-to yogurt for years has been FAGE Total All-Natural Greek Yogurt. I love that it is protein-rich with no added sugars (contains only naturally occurring milk sugar), includes only milk and live active yogurt cultures, is Non-GMO Project Verified, and maintains its distinct rich, creamy, and delicious taste.
FAGE Greek Yogurt pairs perfectly with all your favorite toppings that you already probably have in your pantry, making it so easy for our family. We always have fruit, granola, honey, cinnamon, etc. So, it’s easy to enjoy and serve in many ways! Depending on the time of day, we can add any topping to make it a very versatile snack. Whenever we want to switch things up, I like to whip up either frozen yogurt bites or frozen yogurt pops. My kids like to have a variety of textures in their foods, so this is a great way to introduce new things. So, I love how you can freeze and dry yogurt to create something delicious that will also be healthy too!
I wanted to share this fun snack that I threw together and my kids loved! Winter months have had us indoors a lot, and my kids are raiding the pantry way too much! I wanted to try something different and give them something fun to snack on instead. I used some food storage silicone molds that I already had to help me with portion sizing- you could use popsicle molds too! The kids enjoyed picking out the ingredients and sprinkling them into the molds! I find that whenever I include them on food preparation they tend to actually eat what we are making. It’s a win win!
All you need is FAGE Total Greek Yogurt, your favorite toppings that freeze well, some honey, popsicle sticks, and a food storage mold container. I used raspberries because they mash easily and aren’t tough to eat when frozen, granola to make it crunchy, and a touch of honey to each mold. They were so delicious, and the kids ate them up!! This will be such a great snack for summer too when those little busy bodies come in hungry from playing in the hot sun!
