Once your little one starts to “take over” the adult space, you begin to come up with ways to turn parts of your home into a playroom to keep your child contained and to keep their mess in one area to avoid big messes. Today, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite playroom essentials to guarantee a fun time. There are lots of “spin off” options of the ones I listed, but this is just a general idea of what to start collecting once your baby starts moving, scooting, and making a bigger mess.
Book Shelf: Make it easy for little ones to find and store their favorite books! This is such a fun way for them to be displayed so it makes choosing a book easier.
Play House: This indoor slide/treehouse saved our life during the winter months. I cannot tell you how many hours of entertainment it provides. If you live in an area where there are cold winters, I cannot recommend this enough.
Art Easel: This one is two sided and allows for dual play! Perfect for siblings or friends!
Kitchen Set: A kitchen set is a must in most children’s lives. I don’t think there are many kids that don’t enjoy one. We love this kid craft white one that is gender neutral and goes well with other furniture.
Train Table: Whether you have a boy or girl, train tables spark interests in both. They are great for train play and many more things like legos, stacking, etc. This one includes train pieces which is a nice plus!
Inflatable Bouncer: Such a great source of entertainment on rainy days, winter months, and even during the hotter days.
Anywhere Chair: This chair was worth every single penny. I never believed it when friends told me they had to invest in one, but now I understand. My child prefers to do everything in this chair. It has been so nice to have in our living room where she cannot reach the couch.
Toy Organizer: Every play room needs some sort of bin/shelving to keep toys organized in. This one is practical with lots of different shaped bins to toss all sorts of items in. Plus, it comes in a few other colors.
Table & Chairs: This table and chair set has been wonderful, as many will agree. It is a great place for education, entertainment, and can even be used as a lunch/dinner table. The Nantucket design is very sweet for bright colored nurseries.
Kids Piano: A music area is perfect for every child to let their imagination run wild. This kind of entertainment is often looked over, but it is so important to keep music a creative outlet for our littles. This piano is super sturdy and it plays beautifully.
Teepee: What a fun way to explore and let their imaginations run wild. This gender neutral teepee is perfect for play!
